Lecuona, his music, his legacy

Thomas Tirino on Ernesto Lecuona

Acclaimed around the world for his astonishing interpretation of Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona's music, American pianist Thomas Tirino comes to South Florida to take the public on a memorable journey. Right before the music starts, Mr. Tirino will have a short Q&A session with the audience.

Once it is finished, Tirino's piano will take the public to a place where their hearts will be filled with happy nostalgia.

Twenty years ago was the first release of Tirino's interpretation of Lecuona's music, celebrating the Centenary of the composer's birth. Since then Tirino has traveled the world taking Lecuona's romanticism in his fingers and captivating his audiences with immortal pieces like "Damisela encantadora", "Maria La 0", "Estás en mi Corazon", "Malaguefla", and "Rapsodia negra" among many others.

Tirino's piano and Lecuona's compositions are forever an example of the perfect fusion of Classical music and Hispanic rhythms to celebrate the Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States.
