The City of Miramar Southcentral/Southeast Focal Point Adult Day Care Center is a non-residential adult day care services program that provides supervised care to adults 18 years of age and older in a supportive and safe setting. The program provides services that include, but are not limited to, therapeutic activities, nutrition, health and personal care, and transportation.
Through adult day care services programming, clients served are able to live and engage in the community and the family system is provided an opportunity to meet daily obligations, fulfill responsibilities and receive respite. The Southcentral/Southeast Focal Point Adult Day Care Center offers programs that strive to optimize the dignity, choice, preferences, autonomy, and quality of life of the population served.

The Southcentral/Southeast Focal Point (SCSEFP) operates two senior centers in Miramar– the Multi-Service Complex located in historic Miramar and Sunset Lakes Community Center located in West Miramar. The SCSEFP who provide services and activities designed specifically to meet the unique needs of persons 60 years of age and older has been has been unanimously approved for full accreditation by the National Council on Aging (NCOA) and National Institute of Senior Centers (NISC) through July 2024. The NISC accreditation serves as official recognition that the SCSEFP is fulfilling their mission by utilizing a nationally accepted and professional approach.
